well I've had my MAC for almost a month now and I'm pretty much converted I received my Education edition of Photoshop last week and it didn't take me a day to realized that CS3 is drastically different that CS2...Time to start learning again (not that that is a bad thing)...Thankfully it comes with video workshop I'm about half way through it, funny thing It's kindled an enjoyment to learn again...I picked up Adobe's Classroom in a book...and am beginning it as soon as I finish the workshop. I'm really enjoying learning again, I guess I really am ready for a change
The funny thing is I retire next year and thanks to Jim Webb I have a very lucrative GI Bill fund returning to school, I'm still not sure I'm going to do it but if my wife gets the promotion she wants the GI Bill and my retirement should allow me to go back to school instead of going to work immediately. What's new for me is how much I am actually looking forward to the idea of school plus the irony of possibly graduating from the University I was tossed out of for spending too much time not attending class because it wasn't what I wanted to do it was just what I thought was expected of me, which is the reason I ended up in the Navy in the first place...If I do go back to school I know what I want to do and plan on treating just like a job, albeit a really enjoyable job but a job none the less.

absolutely, my only realy worry is that I want my degree in Art, photgraphy/graphics being the majority of what I want to study. The thing I noticed is that URI still does it's 100/200 level photography with film something I haven't cared to touch in a while...hopefully I'll get credet for Navy experience (probable) and not have to deal with film, yes I know I'm spoiled but at this point I prefer digital

Many things, probably starting with philosophy and history. Those felt shortchanged in my college education. If I had the physics background, I'd love to dig deeper into astronomy too.
What would you study again? Perhaps this is better asked in TC.

Under water and leeching
yesterdays rains have lead to a flooded power station, 24 hours of no power, a river that looks like class 6 rapids and me sitting in the parking lot of my local Midas drinking DnD coffee and leeching Wifi trying to find out if I've got school this afternoon.....I hope we have power by tonight I would really like to cook diner instead of take out again. one of our cats, Sketch was diagnosed with CHF (congestive heart failure) on Friday we spent the weekend at the the animal hospital before bringing her home late sunday night. Her Condition has been mixxed since though we hope for the best. Her heart seems to be OK and her lungs are free of fluid but she got severely dehydrated which has really messed up her digestive track. Go »I am not your baby sitter

a 07:30 phone call saying ooppsss uimmmm well it turns out that you are gonna have to go after all and we are gonna have to send 2 teams is not that way I wanted to start the day. Neither is sweet talking the travel clerk who's day we ruined yesterday to redo all the work she did yesterday....however other than cancelling my New Years plans, a ride with my dad and a climb with my brother, this on again off again travel thing isn't too much of a burden. Same here. I skipped too much class in college to stay home and work on my web site, and now those skills have given me a career... but if I were to come into enough money that I wouldn't have to work any more, I'd feel inclined to go back to college just for the sake of learning. If youth is wasted on the young, so is university.
