Thorough Movie Reviews When it debuted on Scott's home page on April 7, 1999, Thorough Movie Reviews was only a joke: Scott reviewed every film he saw by writing only "It ruled," "It sucked," or "It was ok." By the time Scott had taken a job reviewing movies for his college newspaper in 2001, the hobby had grown into a passion, and he began writing bona-fide reviews of varying lengths. Today the site contains many users' reflections on hundreds of films new and old. Users are encouraged to keep reviews to 255 characters or less, in keeping with tradition. You can browse films that are Now in Theaters or New on DVD & Blu-Ray. Though some of Scott's older reviews have been lost to time, hundreds of all users' reviews are still online among Older Films. When Scott really loves a movie, he wants to share it with everyone he can. Every January, he writes a feature about the Ten Best Films that he saw in the previous year. Would a section of this site be complete if it wasn't interactive? Every winter, the site hosts a Predict the Oscars contest. Any registered user may enter, and the best predictors win prizes. |
