Scott Hardie: “It ruled.”

Excellent movie! Shane Carruth retains the complexity of Primer but finds the emotional heart in his characters, who struggle to put their lives back together after a traumatic psychic experience. The movie has been described as hard to follow, and I can see why because of its emphasis on mood and body language instead of narrative clarity, but the underlying story is fairly simple. This is as if Terrence Malick directed a David Cronenberg script. Amy Seimetz is outstanding in the lead role.
